Taken with the lousy camera phone. No, I'm not stalking the guy, I'm staring at the MAN on the banner.

I spotted Lee Byung Hun in Malaysia. At Ikano Power Center, Mutiara Damansara, to be precise. I didn't know this shop existed in Malaysia.

recap; Korea Exchange Programme 2008 (Jul ~ Aug)

Taken from my DeviantART journal. Just a simple short recap. Putting it here so that it won't go missing.

Sorry, and there's no pictures as well. ):

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-

Day Half- (27/7/08) : Went to Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Malaysia on 10.30pm. Our flight 1.15am to Incheon Int'l Airport, Seoul, Korea.

Day One- (28/7) : Reached Incheon. Met up with our host families. My host mother's name is Eun Joo. <3 Her apartment is at Gangnam, one hour away from Seoul.
Went to Yang Jae river with her and her friend (who actually hosts my school friend too). Walked with them to Phom Mien Restaurant for dinner. : ) Took a bus to Dongdaemun, which is quite far. : /
Saw a perfomance on stage~ Five Korean guys dancing to Wonder Girls - So Hot and SHINee - Replay Bought TVXQ things on the first day. Hehehe. Went to McD for ice-cream, and we both departed in our ways.

Day Two- (29/7) : Went to Lotte World at 9.30am. Played there ourselves until 5pm. D : Quite a small place though. Not a lot of rides. : <
Went back with host family, and visited temples in Korea. Dinner was Bibimbap and Gimbap. : )

Day Three- (30/7) : Went to Korea Folk Museum, learnt the Korean Mask dance, which was very hard to do. O__O;;; After that, went to Gyeongbuk Palace~ There's a translator who is a Korean, but he studies at UK. He's hot. 0___0;; Then I managed to talk to him and stuff while walking to the place. x///X [Damn, I forgot pictures! : < ] Went to Insa-dong later. Nothing much though. Supposed to be a popular shopping area. : / Had Coffee Bean for lunch. <3 Went back, and host family brought us to the Korea Supermarket, E-Mart with her friend~ <3 Bought lotsa stuff for the camp the next day. ^^

Day Four- (31/7) : First day of Labo Summer Camp. : ) Host family dropped us at Youth Center with my host family's kids~ Alice and Jenny. <3 The trip to the Labo's campsite took 1 hour+. So we had a stop half-way through. D : We (Malaysian gang XD ) are then split into 12 groups. In each group consists of 2 Malaysians, 2 Taiwanese, 2 Japanese, and all Koreans. : ) Me and my sister was in Lodge (group) 12. Alice and Jenny is also in Lodge 12, like us. Had orientation, met them and get to know them better. But most of the things were spoken in Korean, so we as a Malaysian, and having English as a mother-tongue, we just sat there looking innocently at the MC. At night we had 'Olympics' which actually was telematches. I played the 2-legged-race with a Taiwanese girl, who's name is also Jenny. XD Me, sis and my friend, stayed back and watched the rehearsal for the Talent show. xD Slept at 12am that night. My roommates were damn fun. <3

Day Five- (1/8) :
Second day of Labo camp. Woke up and did some dancing exercise thingy (Labo camp's speciality. They choreograph their dances.) The songs were cute~ <3 After that, we had a short Korean class, and they taught us how to sing Arirang. <3 We then learn a few more dances, and we went to the Flee Market. Actually, there's a choice to go swimming or to the flee market, but I chose the flee market. XD Bought some Prisma Color Pencils there. OMG LOL. <3 Just for 500Won.

That night, we had the Talent show. Our primary students, did the Chinese/Malay/Indian dance altogether in one performance, while Fai, representing the Secondary school, did the shuffle dance. That dance made all the Korean girls go "OPPA!!!" (term for brother in korean)

After that, 5 Korean guys did a dance~ Whoa, that was nice! On top of that, they're hot. >

And then the Labo staff did a 'Kung Fu Panda' parody. XDD Funny.

Then later we had camp fire. Whoa, we danced around the camp fire ,turning round and round.

After that, we had the Candle ceremony. It is when you remember the past, (which was the day before this day) and they put pictures in the slideshow and show everyone like how we just arrived and stuff.

Only one shed tears during that event. We had supper and went to bed by 12am.

Day Six- (2/8) : The last day for Labo Camp.

We (Malaysian and Taiwanese only) learned how to play Korean Traditional Instruments. I played the Jangguk. (The hour-glass drum shaped instrument) It was funn~ <3 After that, we had lunch, and packed our bags to leave camp. : ( We had the closing ceremony, where every line from each lodge will turn a U-turn, meeting people from other lodge at the side of you, walking in a slow pace, opposite of your direction. I saw some of my Korean friends, and gave them Malaysian souvenirs, and asked them to sign my autograph book. But some didn't have a chance, because if we stopped to sign, we will actually cause a major traffic jam. But I managed to take picture with some friends~ : )

The most saddening one is that most of the people shed tears here. D : I held back my tears, so as not to cry. : | Then my sister saw one of the Korean guys who did the performance. Man, he's hot. <33 We had a chance to take pic with him. And on top of that, he's friendly too ^^~ After that, we bade our farewells, and we went back to the bus, to go back to our host families.
My hostfamily made us dinner, and ate it at home. Watching Narnia the Movie (the First one), and went to sleep after that.

Day Seven- (3/8) : Half a day spent with the host family. So she brought us to COEX (One of the famous shopping center in Korea~) with her friend, and watched Nim's Island, the Movie. (It was quite boring :C) The cinema felt so different from the one in Malaysia. : X After that, she led us to the CD shop, Evan Records, and there, I bought TVXQ CD's !! <33 (Doushite Single, Hug album, Five in the Black) and F.T. Island CD's too~ <3 It's cheaper than in Malaysia because it doesn't count the imported price. : ) Then we packed McD's for dinner, (by that time it's already 5pm) and we have to bade farewell to our hostfamily and set off to DreamTel (Youth Hotel).
At there, we did a mini conference with the teachers about the departure to Malaysia the next evening. The schedule and the activites were told that night. Then we slept.

Day Eight- (4/8) : Planned to go Dongdaemun in the morning, but it is closed on that day. : / So we went to Myeong-dong instead. That place is more lively and more things to see and buy there, unlike Dongdaemun which is only clothes and apparel. Had Mister Donut for breakfast, and I bought many TVXQ stuff. : > 'A WEEK HOLIDAY' PHOTOBOOK YEAHH !! <333 Finished shopping by 1.45pm, and we departed to Incheon Airport after that. We flew back to Malaysia by 6pm (before that we have to Check In our luggages which takes about 3 hour+ before the gate opens.) And there we go, away from Korea....... and back to home by 2am.

On 5/8, we didn't go to school coz' it's a holiday for us. But ended up I woke up 3.35pm on that day. >_> Wasted a whole day !! : (((

events; New Year 2010

Gosh. I didn't update for so long because of all the activities I had for the past few days.

So anyway,

Happy New Year 2010 !

[ pics coming later ]

So I celebrated mine with my cousins and at my cousins.

31st Dec 2009
So my aunt said that she'll fetch me early in the morning at 9am. I was shocked that it's quite early that I have to go to my cousins house, but we still woke up at 8am, anyway.

Got ready, ate a light breakfast and we waited while watching IRIS on KBSWorld (No, it's not live, it's been recorded by my AstroMAX). We kept looking at the clock, feeling weary as the minutes tick by. By 9.15am, still no sign of her car passing by our area. Waited again. Watched a WHOLE episode. Meaning, an hour passed. Time: 10am.

Then I got restless, and decided I should give a call to her. She picked up her phone and said ;
"Oh, Lyn? I'll pick you up at 12pm to 1pm. Is that okay? I'll pack you lunch."

After hearing that, I was struck with disbelief. I should've taken the chance sleep longer. But since we were up awake at the moment, we decided to watch ANOTHER episode of IRIS.

So basically, our New Years Eve started off with IRIS.

---

Reached at Wei and Wen's (cousins) at 2.30pm. (After packing lunch). Onlined at their house and played Ragnarok Online with them (gosh, the game who brought me into the virtual online world, before discovering MSN) until 7pm.

Then we left to 1 Utama shopping mall at about 8.30pm. (The drive there is like, 5 minutes?)

Had a very late dinner as it was almost 9. We were like the last customers there. Afterwards, we went out to see some live concert who was there to usher the new year with the audience. But since we had baby cousin brother and sister, we decided that it was not that comfortable as it was very crowded. (You know the band, Beyond? A HongKong band? They performed there)

So we went to my aunt's friend's house. Her house is that area as well, so it's really easy to see the fireworks when it was time.

My aunt's friend's children were playing Nintendo Wii that time when we walked in. Me, who was really interested to try Wii, asked them whether I could play a few rounds, and they happily gave it to us, my cousin and I, to play it. :D

The best game we played was Naruto, which requires you to move your hands and arms so much to punch/kick/attack your opponent. Gosh, I played like, 10 rounds? And my arms were SORE. But I really like Uchiha Itachi, Sasuke's brother. I mad love his skills. (:

Wei was like "I LOVE NARUTOOOOOOOO".

But I don't really know what's so nice about it though. O:

So when it reached 12am, we ran up to their balcony, and watched the fireworks from 1 Utama, which is just at the opposite of us. I think, 500m away?

Their fireworks were so CLOSE, and so BIG, and not to mention, BEAUTIFUL, but SCARY as the sounds they make is really loud (we're so close. what do you expect.)

But there's a part, I think, that the fireworks went wrong. It somehow exploded off the ground. O_O;;

And at the finale, it was like, 2039840893 fireworks mashed into one and exploded at the same time, while it's pitch of it's explosion getting higher and higher to it's climax and when it reached .......

..it exploded in a final explosion.....

...and silence. Total silence.

Then you can hear the crowd from the live concert at the other side, screaming and cheering loudly.

All of us were stunned, What we saw was like, just a flash of really bright white light, as though turning night sky into a morning sky.

Then I said to my cousin jokingly, "I think this is how 2012 started."

She laughed and agreed.

After the fireworks, we just went down and continued our Naruto like nothing ever happened. And we had to go home by 12.30am.

---

Went back, and we secretly onlined in the room (laptops FTW). Played Ragnarok Online until it was like, 3am. Then I showed Wei some hilarious video from my laptop, (2Days1Night variety show. Heard of it?) and she watched some of my frog dissection in Bio class videos from last year, until 5am.

..That's like the latest time I've ever slept. LOL.

Then we quickly slept.

---
1st Jan 2010

Next day, woke up at 11am. Parents said they'll be fetching me around 4am (after so many bouts of negotiation) . And just hang around at their place until it's time. Played Ragnarok Online AGAIN (since we don't have any nicer games atm), while my little cousin brother and sister went for swimming (their parents brought them out.)

And how cute when my little cousin sister went up to my while I'm brushing my teeth and innocently asked ..

"Ling jie jie, you brushing whose teeth?"

I was like .. "WHO ELSE."

LOL. The innocence.

---

Went back home, and ate dinner at home. So basically, that's how I spent my new year. D:
